Grand Prize Winner in our KVPI Bud n Boiling contest

Grand Prize Winner Chosen March 31, 2021 A grand prize winner has been chosen in our KVPI Bud n Boiling contest today. Congratulations to Brandon Granger. Brandon has won Budweiser beer, a sack of crawfish, Crawfish boiling pot and burner. Our second prize winner is Donna Dean who has won a Budweiser Crawfish boiling pot. Our special thanks to Southwest Beverage, Vidrine Ace Hardware and B&L Seafood. Thank you to the hundreds who called in to qualify during the contest.

KVPI AM/FM is looking to hire a new part time DJ

KVPI AM/FM is seeking to hire a part time radio announcer. Experience is not necessary. We will train the right person. Applicants for this entry level position should have good reading skills, be computer literate, have adequate transportation, have a knowledge of music, be able to work nights and weekends. High school students and retirees are invited to apply. Bud n Boiling Contest Kicks off Monday on Classic Hits 92.5 KVPI FM

Get ready to win beer, crawfish, and a crawfish boiling kit in our Classic Hits 925 KVPI "Bud n Boiling" contest. Starting Monday March 22, we will qualify listeners to be finalists in the contest. Be caller five when you hear the cue to call (the beer can tab opening and beer pouring in the glass). You must be 21 or older. One qualifier per family. You cannot call in to qualify another person. On Wednesday March 31 at noon , we will have a grand prize drawing to draw the name of one grand prize winner who will win beer, crawfish and a crawfish burner kit. KVPI Wins Broadcaster Award and Jim Soileau inducted into Hall of Fame

KVPI Wins Uniquely Louisiana Broadcast Award March 18, 2021 For the second year in a row, KVPI has won the "Uniquely Louisiana" award today (Thursday) at the Prestige Awards ceremony conducted by the Louisiana Association of Broadcasters. KVPI-FM was awarded the honor for our coverage and support of Louisiana Swamp Pop music. Last year, we won for the La Tasse de Café Radio program. Also recognized at the awards ceremony was the late Jim Soileau who was inducted into the Louisiana Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame for his lifetime of broadcasting excellence over KVPI. Our special thanks to Polly Johnson with the Louisiana Association of Broadcasters from the entire staff at KVPI 92.5 FM, 107.3 and 1050 AM The Legend. A great big thank you to Dr. Rhonda Pucheu, President of Ville Platte Broadcasting for your continued support .

The Louisana Swamp Pop Museum is operated by the City of Ville  Platte is open to the public every Friday and

Saturday from 10:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Come view the amazing artifacts, photos,records, Wall of Fame and hear the music.
 

Admission charge is $3 adults,

$2 seniors and $1 for children under 12.
The museum is located on

Northwest Railroad Avenue.
