Sacred Heart Cheerleaders visit KVPI studios to record special cheers

The Sacred Heart Trojan cheerleaders visited KVPI studios after school today to record special cheers and shouts including a custom cheer for 92.5. While here, they had a chance to go on live radio with DJ Ray and they did a cheer for our listeners. Great job girls...Geaux Trojans!!!

Pine Prairie Cheerleaders visit KVPI studios August 25

The Pine Prairie High School Cheerleaders under the direction of coach Rachel Doucet visited KVPI studios today to record cheers for the football season. We also got them to do some live shout outs over Classic Hits 92.5 KVPI. Geaux Panthers.

Cajun Coop Live KVPI Remote

The Classic Hits 92.5 KVPI road crew did a live remote broadcast today at the Cajun Coop restaurant to help promote their new all you can eat buffet. The staff remained busy through the entire lunch hour with lunch goers enjoying a great seafood buffet. They also gave away several $50 gift vouchers to those who attended. Special thanks to John Deville and his great staff for inviting us to attend.

French Immersion Teachers visit KVPI La Tasse de Cafe

We had our first set of French Immersion teachers visit us at KVPI studios this morning during La Tasse de Cafe. The three instructors are teaching at Mamou Elementary. From left, we have a teacher who hails from Natchitoches who learned French in school and is now teaching French, our second instructor hails from Quebec, Canada and our couple comes from France. We also had our good friend Wanda Verette from Mamou along with our French teacher's husband who brought us "Pain Perdu" and French doughnuts Also coming in was our next door neighbor, Terry Guillory, who dropped off some delicious pears. We have a second group of Immersion teachers scheduled to visit with Charlie and Mike Thursday morning. Bien Merci!!

Louisiana's Leroux Concert Cancelled

The Louisiana's Leroux concert planned for this weekend in Baton Rouge at the Crowne Plaza has been cancelled because three of the band members have contracted Covid-19. KVPI will be notified once the show is rescheduled and we plan to do a ticket giveaway at that time.

Louisiana's Leroux Contest

Classic Hits 92.5 KVPI wants to send some of our listeners to see Louisiana premiere Classic Rock band: Louisiana's Leroux in a big show Saturday night at the Crowne Plaza in Baton Rouge. Here's how to qualify: Go to our Facebook page and look for the Louisiana's Leroux Contest post, like it and share it..Then Comment by saying "I want to go see Louisiana's Leroux". That's it. Tee Cotton Bowl Contest

Classic Hits 92.5 KVPI is teaming up with Tee Cotton Bowl officials to give our listeners a chance to win great prizes leading up to this year's premiere high school football game . Starting on Wednesday August 4, several times, each day, we'll ask a cowboy trivia question and play the Lone Ranger theme song. The first caller at our contest line at 337-506-2444 with the correct answer will qualify to win great prizes including a Little Smoky Grill from Vidrine Ace Hardware, a cowboy hat from Tractor Supply, a $100 gift certificate from Cajun Crawfish , car washes from Chris Leday Car Wash and Ken's Car Care, Two KVPI T shirts and more. Classic Hits 92.5 KVPI is excited to announce our newest show to our Sunday lineup with legendary DJ, Dick Bartley with his syndicated show "Rock n Roll's Greatest Hits The 60's Show" from 9:00pm-12 midnight starting tonight. If you're a fan of 60's music, this is a must listen show.

The Louisana Swamp Pop Museum is operated by the City of Ville  Platte is open to the public every Friday and

Saturday from 10:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Come view the amazing artifacts, photos,records, Wall of Fame and hear the music.
 

Admission charge is $3 adults,

$2 seniors and $1 for children under 12.
The museum is located on

Northwest Railroad Avenue.
