Jim and great grand daughter Lauren together on KVPI La Tasse de Cafe Wednesday

We have a special treat for our KVPI listeners. We are bringing in our newest KVPI DJ Lauren Soileau to sit in with her great grandfather Jim Soileau on our very popular La Tasse de Cafe radio show Wednesday morning from 8-9am on both KVPI AM and FM. Lauren is keeping up the tradition that began with Jim and continued with her grandparents, Nick and Rita Soileau who worked at one time at KVPI. KVPI is looking to hire Full Time Sales Person

Ville Platte Broadcasting Company, the parent company of radio stations KVPI AM and FM has an immediate opening for a full-time sales account representative to provide marketing and advertising solutions for our clients. You will be making face to face as well as telephone sales calls on local and regional businesses. The successful candidate will receive a compensation package which includes a salary and sales commission. You must have reliable transportation and the desire to succeed and work hard. Experience in sales is helpful but not necessary. We will train the right person. Rick Springfield Interview planned for Tuesday at 12:30pm on Classic Hits 92.5 KVPI

Fans of 80's music will want to look forward to our interview with Singer/Actor Rick Springfield scheduled for Tuesday at 12:30pm on Classic Hits 92.5 KVPI. The interview will focus on his brand new song and interesting video "The Wall Will Fall". We will also talk about his time as an actor as Dr. Noah Drake on "General Hospital". We also talk about the back story on his biggest hit "Jessie's Girl". Be sure to join us Tuesday at 12:30pm right here on Classic Hits 92.5 KVPI.

Class of 2020 Honor Students Interviews Scheduled on KVPI

KVPI has plans to broadcast the interviews we did in the last few days with honor students from our parish high schools. All of these students were chosen either as Valedictorian or Salutatorian of their Class of 2020. You can hear all of the interviews as a group Wednesday at 12:30pm on KVPI AM and FM. We also plan to upload the interviews to our podcast folder on our classichits925.com website for those who miss it live. Sheriff Posse St. Jude Drawing

Evangeline Parish Sheriff 's Mounted Posse Drawing May 8, 2020 The Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Mounted Posse held their annual benefit drawing today at KVPI studios for the benefit of St. Jude Hospital in Memphis. Usually the drawing is held during their annual trail ride but the ride was cancelled this year due to the Corona Virus. The raffle tickets and donations amounted to $2959 according to Ralph Daigle with the Sheriff's Posse. In the 16 years, the posse has been conducted their annual raffle, they have raised $185,000 for St. Jude's Hospital. Among those in attendance at KVPI for the drawing were Ralph Daigle, his daughter, Clarissa Daigle, Joe Fontenot and Sheriff Elect Charles Guillory who did the drawing from the hundreds of names. Congratulations to the three winners: First Prize Winner- Cody Manuel; Second Prize winner of $100 -Tawane Fontenot and Third Prize winner of $50- Marlin Arvie.

Welcome DJ Lauren to the KVPI Family

Would you join me in welcoming the newest member to the KVPI family of announcers? Please welcome DJ Lauren who will handle the Saturday afternoon shift from 12 noon to 6;00pm playing your favorite Classic Hits from the 70's, 80's and 90's. She will become a third generation DJ over KVPI. Her grandfather Nick Soileau worked as a DJ back in the 70's. Her great grand father, Jim Soileau, was among the first DJ's when the station first signed on in 1953 , later became general manager and is still working with us as a French announcer. Welcome Lauren.

Saturday from 10:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Come view the amazing artifacts, photos,records, Wall of Fame and hear the music.
 

Admission charge is $3 adults,

$2 seniors and $1 for children under 12.
The museum is located on

Northwest Railroad Avenue.
