Here is an update news report from Evangeline Parish Sheriff Charles
Guillory on the progress of the new Evangeline Parish Jail.
“it has been a very long time and the wait is over. Please be informed
that our new jail project has begun as scheduled and the job has been
going on for approx. 3 weeks. The construction road has been
completed and the dirt work for the new facility is in progress. As the
project continues to move forward, I will keep you updated as much as
possible. I would encourage everyone to go by the Ward 1 police jury
yard to see. Let’s watch it grow together until complete.
Thank you.
Sheriff Charles R. Guillory
