Happy New Year from KVPI

It was an incredible year for us at KVPI AM and FM. We increased our FM power to 25,000 watts to reach more listeners and advertisers. KVPI 1050 AM dropped our talk programming and went 24 hours a day playing Classic Country. For the 7th year in a row, KVPI FM won "Radio Station of the Year" for our community service. What is ahead in 2018? More exciting news to share with you coming soon. All of us at KVPI AM and FM want to thank you for your support and we look forward to 2018. All Number One Hits all day New Year's Day on Classic Hits 92.5 KVPI

Our special New Year's Day gift to our listeners is to play nothing but #1 hits all day Monday, New Year's Day. From 6:00am to 6:00pm, Classic Hits 92.5 KVPI and classichits925.com will program all Number One Hits from the 1960's, 70's, 80's and 90's. Christmas Day Mass and Roundatable Christmas Interview

A programming note for our KVPI listeners: Tune in at 9:00am Monday Christmas day as we broadcast the live Christmas Mass at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church with Fr. Mitch Guidry, pastor over KVPI 1050 AM The Legend and on kvpionline.com.

 

We are planning to play back a recorded interview we did a few weeks ago with Fr. Tom Voorhies, pastor of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Deacon Ben Soileau of Our Lady Queen of All Saints.. Our roundtable discussion will center on "Christmas". We will play back the recorded interview at 12:30pm Monday, Christmas day, on KVPI AM 1050 AM and on KVPI FM 92.5. Merry Christmas everybody!

 

Classic Hits 92.5 is going all Christmas

Starting Monday, The Legend 1050 KVPI AM and Classic Hits 92.5 KVPI will be going all Christmas 6:00am to 12 midnight through Christmas Day. We will be programming our music from one of the largest holiday music collection in our area. This is our special Christmas present to you from your friends at KVPI AM and FM. Merry Christmas

Classic Hits 92.5 KVPI visited Industrial Service with Santa

The Classic Hits 92.5 road crew was at Industrial Service and Supply today to help promote a special visit from Santa and their big holiday sale. Special thanks to Miss Sherry for co-hosting the broadcast, Matt and the whole staff for helping out. Lots of kids came to visit Santa and bought all kids of merchandise.The staff gave away prizes by answering trivia questions and their phones were busy all afternoon. Merry Christmas!

Danyelle's Early Development Kids visited KVPI studios today

Some 40 students from Danyelle's Early Development Center toured KVPI studios this morning. They learned how our stations operate both on KVPI AM and FM. We also recorded each students wishes for Christmas and we played their comments back today at 12;30pm. Merry Christmas everybody!!

Congratulations to Carly Chaumont-KVPI Employee of t he Year

Congratulations to our KVPI Employee of the Year: Carly Chaumont. KVPI General Manager Mark Layne presented Carly a special plaque today recognizing Carly for her good work in remotes, production and on air work. She is also now doing news stories and covering governmental meetings for KVPI.

Classic Hits 92.5 Road Crew at Christmas in the Village in Turkey Creek

On Saturday, December 9th KVPI’s on the road crew, Becky and Carly, broadcasted live from the 2017 “Christmas in the Village” event that took place at Drouet Park in Turkey Creek, La. The event was sponsored by the Village of Turkey Creek. There was a horseback trail ride, a parade, live music, carnival rides, pony rides, a petting zoo, food, games, an antique tractor pull, local venders, a firework display and much more. KVPI would like to congratulate Grand Parade Marshall(s) Ms. Kay Roberts and Mr. John Roberts and the parade winners. Below is a list of the parade categories and their winners.

Saturday from 10:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Come view the amazing artifacts, photos,records, Wall of Fame and hear the music.
