KVPI Wins Broadcaster Award and Jim Soileau inducted into Hall of Fame

KVPI Wins Uniquely Louisiana Broadcast Award March 18, 2021 For the second year in a row, KVPI has won the "Uniquely Louisiana" award today (Thursday) at the Prestige Awards ceremony conducted by the Louisiana Association of Broadcasters. KVPI-FM was awarded the honor for our coverage and support of Louisiana Swamp Pop music. Last year, we won for the La Tasse de Café Radio program. Also recognized at the awards ceremony was the late Jim Soileau who was inducted into the Louisiana Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame for his lifetime of broadcasting excellence over KVPI. Our special thanks to Polly Johnson with the Louisiana Association of Broadcasters from the entire staff at KVPI 92.5 FM, 107.3 and 1050 AM The Legend. A great big thank you to Dr. Rhonda Pucheu, President of Ville Platte Broadcasting for your continued support .

Swamp Pop music

The Louisana Swamp Pop Museum is operated by the City of Ville  Platte is open to the public every Friday and

Saturday from 10:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Come view the amazing artifacts, photos,records, Wall of Fame and hear the music.
 

Admission charge is $3 adults,

$2 seniors and $1 for children under 12.
The museum is located on

Northwest Railroad Avenue.
