     Make plans to join the KVPI road crew, Annona and Mark Saturday in Mamou for the Veterans Day celebration. It is one of the oldest and finest Veterans Day observations in Louisiana. Parade lineup is at 10:00am at Mamou High with the parade stepping off at 11:00am down Sixth Street. There will be a Flag ceremony and memorial service after the parade at the American Legion Post home. The Mamou Elementary French immersion students will participate amd Gen. Ben Soileau will be the featured speaker. There will be many vendors selling food, merchandise and beverages. If you can't be there, listen to our broadcast of the parade and events at the Legion Home over KVPI 1050 AM.

The 51st annual Louisiana Swine Festival is going on this weekend in Basile and KVPI was there. The event began Friday night and continues through Sunday. The weather cleared up Saturday for the Pork Cookoff and the music. The Classic Hits 92.5 KVPI road crew, Carly and Mark, were there having a great time and meeting cook off contestants, festival officials and even a judge.
