LSU Baseball action in the SEC tournament begins Tonight at 8;00pm on KVPI FM 92.5

LSU kicks off the Southeastern Conference baseball tournament by taking on Tennessee tonight at 8:00pm live on KVPI FM 92.5. Should they win they play again at 8:00pm Wednesday. We plan to cover LSU throughout the conference tournament on your LSU Sports Station, KVPI FM. Pre game is at 7:30pm

Opelousas Catholic Advances to State Semi Final Game in Sulpher

Opelousas Catholic Vikings to face St. Thomas Aquinas  Falcons in State Semi Finals


     KVPI Sports plans to broadcast a very big game in Class 2-A baseball: the Opelousas Catholic Vikings coached by Justin Boyd will be facing St. Thomas Aquinas High Falcons from Hammond in the state Semi Final matchup. The game will be played in the Louisiana High School Athletic Association Baseball tournament in Sulpher Friday at 12:00 noon. KVPI Sports plans to broadcast the game over KVPI 1050 AM with Sports Announcer Micah Chatman.

    The Vikings defeated Episcopal last weekend in the quarterfinals while St. Thomas Aquinas beat Notre Dame to advance to Friday’s matchup.

     The winner of this game will face the winner of the St. Charles Catholic-Riverside Academy Game in the state Class 2-A championship.

St. Ed's Blue Jays lose in Quarterfinal Game

The St. Edmund High Blue Jays lost in the Class 1-A Quarterfinals to the

Oak Grove Tigers 11-1 at home in Eunice. The game was broadcast live

on Classic Hits 92.5 KVPI with Sports Announcer Micah Chatman. KVPI woukd

like to congratulate the Blue Jays players, coaches and parents on a great season and through the state playoffs.

KVPI Sports plans to broadcast the St. Edmunds-Oak Grove Quarterfinal Playoff Game

KVPI Sports will broadcast the Class 1-A Quarterfinal State Baseball Playoff game Friday night. The St. Edmunds Blue Jays will be hosting the Oak Grove Tigers at 6:00pm. If you cannot attend the game in person, tune in KVPI-FM 92.5  or classichits925.com as KVPI Sports Announcer Micah Chatman will be calling the game for family, friends and fans who cannot attend the game. Pre game coverage will begin at 5:45.

High School Baseball Update


    The Pine Prairie High Panthers traveled to play North Webster in North Louisiana over the weekend in a best of three series in Class 3-A. In Game One Saturday, North Webster defeated Pine Prairie 4-3. In the second game also on Saturday, North Webster beat Pine Prairie 2-1. KVPI would like to congratulate Pine Prairie on a great season and for representing us well in the state playoffs.

   The Eunice High Bobcats , also in Class 3-A played in a best of three series for their second action against Lutcher. Lutcher won the first game 13-7. In the second game, Eunice High came back and won 5-4. In the deciding game, Lutcher beat Eunice 10-5. Congratulations to Eunice High on a great season.

   The St. Edmund High Blue Jays defeated Covenant Christian in the second round of the state baseball playoffs in Class 1-A by a score of 6-2. St. Eds will next play the winner of the Oak Grove-Houma Christian game.
