Mamou High Lady Demons Lose to Fisher 2-0

Amber Manuel goes 6 but the Lady Demons lose to Fisher 2-0

The Lady Demons' Amber Manuel struck out nine batters, but providing enough offense to notch a victory proved difficult Saturday, as the Lady Demons fell to Fisher 2-0 at Lafitte.

Kassilynn Rojas got it done on the rubber on the way to a win. She tossed seven innings of shutout ball. Kassilynn struck out one, walked none and gave up three hits.

Amber ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss.

The game was never in doubt after the third, as Fisher scored two runs on a two-run double by Kassilynn.

Kaplan defeats the Lady Panthersdespite Alyssa Jackson's strong effort, 1-0

Alyssa Jackson did her best to change the outcome, but Alyssa couldn't pilot the Lady Panthers past Kaplan as the Lady Panthers lost 1-0 in seven innings at Kaplan, LA on Friday.

Alyssa looked sharp in the circle. Kaplan managed just three hits off of Jackson, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two during her four innings of work.

In the first inning, Kaplan pushed across its only run of the day on a groundout by Caroline Touchet.
