Welcome new DJ to our night time Shows: J.C.

All of us at KVPI would like to welcome the newest member of our DJ family: J.C. . He will be on the air Monday , Friday and Saturday nights from 6-9pm on the Party Time Show on Classic Hits 92-5 Classic Hits 92.5 KVPI. He will be programming oldies music from the 50's and early 60's and will be taking your oldies requests at 337-506-2444. Will you join me in saying welcome aboard to J.C.

Salute to Law Enforcement on KVPI August 10

KVPI sponsored a special salute to our local and area law enforcement officers today in a special live call -in program. Among those officers who were in attendance in our studios were Evangeline Parish Sheriff Charles R. Guillory, , Mamou Police Chief Pat Hall, Basile Police Chief Allen Ivory and Assistant Chief A.J. Frank, Chataignier Police Chief Will T. Gallow, Pine Prairie Police Chief L.C. Deshotel and Officer Kevin Tate along with officers with the Ville Platte City Marshal's Office. We want to support our men and women in blue and also remember a fallen officer, Barry Giglio, who was killed in the line of duty last week. Thank you to those of you who called to show your support for these officers who are there protecting all of us 24/7.

Live remote at Evangeline Portable Buildings Friday 10-12 noon

Be sure to join the Classic Hits 92-5 KVPI road crew, Mark and Swabby, Friday from 10:00am to 12:00 noon as we do a live remote broadcast for the grand opening celebration and ribbon cutting at the all new Evangeline Portable Buildings on East Main. Come visit with Stacy, Lonnie and Jessica Howerton Fontenot and the friendly crew for a super deal. We'll have music, food , prizes and lots of good times.

Salute to Law Enforcement Program

Salute to Law Enforcement August 8, 2023 Classic Hits 92-5 KVPI is planning a salute to law enforcement program Thursday at 12:30pm. We have invited the sheriff and all of the police chiefs in the parish to attend this special program. After the tragic death of Marshal Barry Giglio killed in the line of duty last week, we want to honor the men and women in blue. We will invite our listeners to call us at 337-363-2124 if you would like to express your appreciation to law enforcement, share words of sympathy for Officer Giglio or a shoutout to a member of your family who may be working in law enforcement. The Louisana Swamp Pop Museum is operated by the City of Ville  Platte is open to the public every Friday and

Saturday from 10:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Come view the amazing artifacts, photos,records, Wall of Fame and hear the music.
 

Admission charge is $3 adults,

$2 seniors and $1 for children under 12.
The museum is located on

Northwest Railroad Avenue.
