Classic Hits 92.5 KVPI is giving away tickets to this year's Jazz Fest in New Orleans. The tickets we plan to give away will be good for the final week: Thursday May 3 through Sunday May 6.Our grand prize winner will win eight one day passes so a couple could attend all four days of the final weekend. A second place winner will win a pair of one day passes. Among the superstars appearing Lionel Richie, Sheryl Crow, Aaron Neville, Aerosmith, Delbert McLinton, Steve Miller Band, Smokey Robinson and Irma Thomas along hundreds of other music acts. KVPI Welcomes New DJ Danny J to our Broadcast Family

KVPI is proud to welcome our newest on-air talent, Danny J to our broadcast family. Danny is a life long resident of the Ville Platte area. He is currently going to LSU at Alexandria. Danny will be working KVPI FM with the Party Time show Friday night from 6-9pm , Saturday afternoons from 12 noon to 6;00pm and working KVPI AM and the various religious programs on Sunday morning.

Carly Chaumont Promoted to KVPI Account Representative

 

     

 

        Ville Platte Broadcasting Company announced today that Carly Chaumont has been promoted to become an Account Representative for KVPI AM and FM.

       Carly is a graduate of Pine Prairie High School and recently graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from LSU at Alexandria. She is the daughter of Christine and Brad Chaumont and the youngest of three children. When she was a child, she struggled with a speech impediment and attended speech therapy for nearly five years. Spending a majority of her childhood learning how to communicate with others, Carly feels her current career path was meant to be.

      She has been in the public eye competing in pageants for six years. She has held the titles of Miss Evangeline Parish Farm Bureau, Miss Boggy Bayou Festival, Miss Ville Platte, Miss La. Fur and Wildlife Festival, Miss Rayne Frog Festival and Miss Lafayette USA.

    KVPI General Manager Mark Layne said he is pleased to have Carly as the newest member of the KVPI Sales Team. “I have seen Carly grow in the three years she has been with us as a radio announcer, journalist and now as an account representative working with retailers to grow their business. She will be an asset to our company and to the many businesses she works with”.

     Classic Hits 92.5 KVPI had its drawing to give away tickets to “The Little River Band” show Saturday night at L’Auberge Casino in Baton Rouge.

     Here are our ten winners who each won a pair of tickets to the show: Nina David, Danny LaHaye, Darlene Soileau, Sheila McCauley, Simone Guillory, Shary Jones, Kelly Delafosse , Susan Ortego, Chad Soileau and Tracy Armand.

     Special thanks to everyone who qualified all week long for the drawing and thank you to L’Auberge Baton Rouge for partnering with 92.5 on this giveaway. We are working on another giveaway in the month of May. Stay tuned for details.

Congratulations to our winners to Bo's Extravaganza

 

    Classic Hits 92.5 drew the names of five lucky listeners who qualified to win tickets to Bo’s Extravaganza in Holden, Louisiana this weekend. The event will take place Saturday and Sunday at John Schnieder’s studios. Schnieder played “Bo Duke” in the Dukes of Hazard TV series. Our winners who each won a pair of one day passes include:  Tammy Johnson, Joann Delafosse, Johnny Bertrand, Becky LeBas and Kristy Darbonne. Thanks to everyone who qualified in our contest.

The Louisana Swamp Pop Museum is operated by the City of Ville  Platte is open to the public every Friday and

Saturday from 10:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Come view the amazing artifacts, photos,records, Wall of Fame and hear the music.
 

Admission charge is $3 adults,

$2 seniors and $1 for children under 12.
The museum is located on

Northwest Railroad Avenue.
