Full house at La Tasse Reunion

A new record crowd attended the KVPI La Tasse de Café reunion at Main Street Pizza. What spurred on all the extra people attending was the fact we had French immersion students from both Mamou and Ville Platte Elementary schools and their French teachers all in attendance to show off their talents in a special showcase. The children  got on stage with KVPI hosts Charlie Manuel and Mark  Layne and sand two songs in French and led the group in the pledge of allegiance also in French. La Tasse host Jim Soileau did not attend because of his recovery from surgery and Annona Balfa was working on the air. There were special La Tasse de Café mugs and Mamou Cajun Music Festival posters given away in door prizes. The crowd enjoyed hearing stories in French and English from many of the people who attended. Special thanks to everyone who attended this year’s event
