We had two students from Sacred Heart High School visited KVPI studios today to record special messages that will run throughout the week on both KVPI 1050 AM The Legend and KVPI FM Classic Hits 92.5. Cafe Evangeline presents the band Courtbouillon featuring Wayne Toups, Steve Riley, and Wilson Savoy on Friday, January 18th. This event is sold out, but KVPI had tickets for a table for two. The 2018 Savoy Cancer Center Breast Cancer Awareness Walk/Run was held this morning under beautiful sunny skies. A capaicty crowd of participants took part in the walk all for the benefit of indigent cancer patients. The highlight was the survivors walk featuring cancer survivors. KVPI 92.5 's Becky Vidrine and Annona Balfa were there in Mamou covering it live and even took a picture with a snake.
A walk through the past brought visitors to Washington this weekend for the Washington Old School House Fall Antique Fair. The weather was perfect for antique shopping outside on the school house yard and inside the many rooms of the school house. The Classic Hits 92.5 road crew, Becky and Josh, were there Friday afternoon to view the displays and talk with some of the exhibitors. The fair continues through Sunday.
