Listen to rare Preston Aucoin campaign song Tuesday morning from 8-9am on KVPI La Tasse de Cafe

It was nearly ten years ago in 2014 that we were able to locate the missing Preston Aucoin campaign song with the help of a close family friend.. I felt that maybe there may be a few of our KVPI listeners may want to hear it again. The late Preston Aucoin was a well known attorney and judge who had a regular commentary show on KVPI. Two songs were used in his various campaigns. The one used in his radio programs "Ton Bon Ami" based on the Tee Set's "Ma Belle Amie"was the newer song. The missing song was his first one sung by Clint West using the melody of Davy Crockett. In 2014, we were able to track down the recording thanks to Monica McGee Menier, the daughter of the late Judge Don McGee, a close friend to Judge Preston Aucoin. Through Face Book, Monica informed me she had an old reel to reel tape entitled Preston Aucoin song., The quality is not all that good but it is good enough to listen. I plan to broadcast it again Tuesday morning from 8-9am on La Tasse de Cafe. Thanks to Monica and Gilbert J. Aucoin for their help.
