Classic Hits 92.5 KVPI is teaming up with L'Auberge Casino in Baton Rouge to send listeners to see Dennis DeYoung in concert May 18. Dennis DeYoung was the lead singer of Styx for all of their classic hit recordings and he will be performing them all for Styx fans. We had Will, Katelyn and Brian from Tele-Louisiane visiting with Charlie and Annona this morning on La Tasse de Cafe. They belong to a group dedicated to promoting and supporting our French language and culture. KVPI is proud to team up with this group of young people because we have been supporting our French culture since 1953 when we signed on.

Jazz Fest Ticket Winners April 23, 2019 Classic Hits 92.5 KVPI would like to congratulate our five winners in our ticket giveaway to the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival going on this weekend and next weekend. KVPI would like to congratulate our grand prize winner in our "Bud n Boilin" contest –Dennis Fontenot. Dennis was one of forty qualifiers in our contest. Qualifiers had to be the fifth caller into our contest line when they heard the beer can opening and beer pouring into the glass sound effect. Each qualifier won a 12 pack of Budweiser beer. For the ninth year in a row, KVPI-FM 92.5, was honored by the Louisiana Association of Broadcasters with its "Radio Station of the Year" award for excellence in broadcasting. The radio station was recognized for its service to the community. This is the 11th time overall, KVPI-FM has been honored by the broadcasters of Louisiana. The award was presented at the annual Prestige Awards luncheon held today at the Doubletree Hotel in Lafayette. KVPI General Manager Mark Layne thanked the Louisiana Association of Broadcasters for this honor. In his statement, Layne said "I want to thank our great staff: Cheryl, Becky, Nancy, Jim, Charlie, Ashlee, Annona, Swabby, A.J., Danny J, Katie Jo, Lizzy, Mike along with our engineer Dave Graichen and our sports announcers: Tracey Jagneaux, Jeremy Jorden and Elliot West. They make my job easy. "Thank you to our cherished clients and wonderful listeners who support us. In closing, my special thanks to my boss: Dr. Rhonda Pucheu, the President of Ville Platte Broadcasting Company, a second generation broadcaster. National Catholic Schools Week is January 28-February 2. We had two students from Sacred Heart High School visited KVPI studios today to record special messages that will run throughout the week on both KVPI 1050 AM The Legend and KVPI FM Classic Hits 92.5. They were Julianne Reed and Evyn Soileau accompanied by Sacred Heart School Development Director Kimberly LeJeune.

Cafe Evangeline presents the band Courtbouillon featuring Wayne Toups, Steve Riley, and Wilson Savoy on Friday, January 18th. This event is sold out, but KVPI had tickets for a table for two. These tickets (value of over $200) includes the live musical entertainment, a meal, and drinks. This week, when listeners heard the Steve Riley cue to call, they called the contest line to be entered into the drawing for a chance to win.
