Listen to our interview with Mathew Baker, the Director of Heros Everywhere Animal Rescue today at 12:30 to hear our discussion about a proposed Resolution for Mandatory Spaying and Neutering in the Parish.  The Evangeline Parish Police Jury is holding a Public Hearin today at 4:45pm on this matter.


The Evangeline Parish Police Jury will meet tonight at 6:00pm in the courthouse with committee meetings at 5:00pm.

 

The City of Ville Platte Section 8 Program is accepting applications for the waiting list starting today through Friday between the hours of 8am to 4:00pm. The City of Ville Platte Section 8 Program house families wishing to reside inside the City Limits of Ville Platte. Applications are available to be picked up at the Ville Platte City Hall. For additional information please contact Mrs. Tremeca LeDay Section 8 Executive Director at 337-363-2939.

 

The Ville Platte Rotary Club will meet Tuesday at noon at Café Evangeline.

The Evangeline Parish School Board will meet at 6:00pm Wednesday night at the media center.

 

KVPI La Tassa de Café on Wednesday and Thursday; we’re expecting a film crew with us both mornings from 8-9am on KVPI AM and FM.

Swamp Pop music

The Louisana Swamp Pop Museum is operated by the City of Ville  Platte is open to the public every Friday and

Saturday from 10:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Come view the amazing artifacts, photos,records, Wall of Fame and hear the music.
 

Admission charge is $3 adults,

$2 seniors and $1 for children under 12.
The museum is located on

Northwest Railroad Avenue.
