KVPI's Jim Soileau announced his retirement during La Tasse de Cafe

Today was a bittersweet moment for all of us at KVPI. Jim Soileau, formally announced his retirement during La Tasse de Cafe. The phones never stopped ringing wanting to wish all the best to Jim. On behalf of all of us at KVPI we want to thank Jim for all he did. He was the voice of Ville Platte and the voice of KVPI since the very early days of the 50's.You will be missed, Jim. Swamp Pop music

The Louisana Swamp Pop Museum is operated by the City of Ville  Platte is open to the public every Friday and

Saturday from 10:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Come view the amazing artifacts, photos,records, Wall of Fame and hear the music.
 

Admission charge is $3 adults,

$2 seniors and $1 for children under 12.
The museum is located on

Northwest Railroad Avenue.
