KVPI Top Story

KVPI La Tasse de Cafe now on every morning Monday through Friday from 8-9am

History will be made on Tuesday . Starting Tuesday, September 1 , we are debuting our brand new Tuesday edition of "La Tasse de Cafe" radio show. We want to thank our many listeners and to the wonderful sponsors who support us and made it possible to expand to Tuesday. Now we are on Monday through Friday from 8-9am. The call-in bi-lingual radio show was a suggestion by former KVPI radio announcer and record producer Floyd Soileau in 1966. From its humble beginnings, the show has grown by leaps and bounds. We have callers from all over the world including Australia who have called us.. The show has been featured in TV news reports, news stations from France and Belgium and the Wall Street Journal. The show was recognized by Louisiana Broadcasters earlier this year by winning the "Uniquely Louisiana " award by the Louisiana Association of Broadcasters. The La Tasse announcers will be attending Tuesday's Rotary Club meeting to share their thoughts . Here is the La Tasse Announcing Team: Jim Soileau, Charlie Manuel and Mark Layne.
