KVPI FM Wins Radio Station of the Year at Awards Ceremony in Baton Rouge

We did it again. KVPI FM, Classic Hits 92.5 KVPi, won Radio Station of the Year for 2018. The awards ceremony took place today in Baton Rouge sponsored by the Louisiana Association of Broadcasters. This is the tenth time over the past 15 years we have won this special award for radio stations in our market size. We won the award for our service to the community, local news, local sports, the number of remotes we do at fairs and festivals, and support of Swamp Pop and our Cajun French language. Also in 2017, we increased our power to 25,000 watts to reach more listeners our special programming.

Again, it was a TEAM effort. Every member of our hard working staff helped us achieve our goal. I want to personally thank Charlie Manuel, Jim Soileau, Annona Balfa, Josh Godwin, Carly Chaumont, Swabby Soileau, Gary "A.J." LeLeux, Shirlene "Simon" Fruge, Nancy Kay Duplechain, Bonnie Fontenot, Cheryl DeBaillon and Becky Vidrine. Our sports guys like Tracy Jagneaux, Micah Chatman and James Shiver. Our engineer Dave Graichen. Finally, I want to thank Dr. Rhonda Fink Pucheu for her show of support. I have a great staff. Get ready, Ville Platte, we have more big news coming later this year.
