The Ville Platte Rotary Club heard from Randal and Annette Graser of Landscape Creations. Randal Graser answered questions and offered tips on landscaping and maintenance topics. He offered tips on pruning, fertilizer use, mulching, insect control as well as when and how much to water your lawns. He warned Rotarian members that tomato plants will be more expensive this year due to the cold snap we experienced this winter.
In other business, Rotary President Bill Brunet:
--invited members to attend the Ville Platte Chamber of Commerce meeting next Monday February 24 at noon at Nicks on Main. An official with the Louisiana Technical College system will be in attendance to discuss the future of the Ville Platte Coreil campus;
--received a report from Larry Lachney about the Sacred Heart Interact Club. The club collected and donated 600 cans of food for the Food Drive in December. The club is currently selling memorial bricks for the prayer garden.
