Fire Destroys End Zone Sports Bar

       The Ville Platte Fire Department responded to a late night fire Tuesday that destroyed the End Zone Sports Bar on Pine Point Road. Fire Chief Ted Demourelle reported to KVPI News that the building was owned by Donald Ray Thomas. A passerby contacted the fire department at 11:48 last night. By the time, the fire department arrived the wood frame building was totally engulfed in flames. Fire fighters were able to extinguish  the fire but the building was gutted.  There were a total of 16 firefighters and  five fire units that responded .
