2014-Big Election Year in Evangeline Parish

ELECTION YEAR 2014

    Evangeline Parish Clerk of Court Randy Deshotel said it will be a busy year for elections in 2014 with most scheduled for the Fall Primary elections.

    On November 4, the primary ballot will include Ville Platte City Judge, Ville Platte City Marshal, both district court judges in Evangeline Parish, all 13 school board members, all justices of the peace and constables in the parish, mayors, aldermen and chief of police in Ville Platte, Mamou, Basile, Chataignier and Turkey Creek, District Attorney, Court of Appeals Judges, Congressman and U.S. Senator.

   Qualifying will be August 20-22 and early voting will be October 21-28.

Swamp Pop music

Saturday from 10:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Come view the amazing artifacts, photos,records, Wall of Fame and hear the music.
 

Admission charge is $3 adults,

$2 seniors and $1 for children under 12.

Northwest Railroad Avenue.
