Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office - Narcotics Press Release

Upon the completion of lengthy investigation, on November 18, 2024, Narcotic Agents with Evangeline Parish Sheriff Office, Allen Parish Swat, and Evangeline Patrol deputies conducted a Narcotic Search
Warrant at the address of 125 East Desoto, Ville Platte Louisiana 70586.

Upon the completion of a search of the residence, the search yielded the followings:


One zip-lock bag contained 210 multi-colored pills with various shapes and sizes identified as MDMA pills. One tied plastic contained 7.15 grams of Crack Cocaine, one plastic bottle labeled for Crest Clean Mint mouth wash that contained 1 Fluid Oz of Phencyclidine (Formaldehyde) and $913.00 of US Currency in various denominations.


Kirby Simon, a 49-year-old black male, was arrested and charged with (1) count 40:966A Possession With the Intent to Distribute Schedule I MDMA pills, (1) Count 40:967A Possession With the Intent to Distribute Schedule II Phencyclidine, (Formaldehyde), (1) Count 40:967A Possession With the Intent to Distribute Schedule II Crack Cocaine and (1) Count 40:981.13 CDS Violation (Distribution of Illegal Narcotics within 1000ft of a Church of Worship.


Filbert Rober, a 68-year-old black male, was arrested and charged with )1) Count of 40:966 Possession With Intent to Distribute Schedule I MDMA pills, (1) Count 40:981.13 CDS Violation(Possession and Distribution of Illegal Narcotics within 1000ft of a Church of Worship, and issued a citation for (1) Count 40:966C Possession of Schedule I Marijuana under 14 grams.
