KVPI News has learned that all Evangeline Parish Public Schools and Sacred Heart Schools are closed today due to expected stormy weather this morning.
Here is the statement from Supt of Schools Darwan Lazard:
In communication with our local 911/Office of Emergency Preparedness (OEP) and based upon the most recent National Weather Service (NWS) advisory, indicating severe weather conditions with a possibility of unsafe driving conditions for buses and other vehicles, the Evangeline Parish School District, all campuses and district offices, will be closed on 4-10-2024.
The safety of our students and employees remains our top priority.
Unless you are notified otherwise, we are planning to resume regular operations Thursday, April 11, 2024. Please check local/regional media outlets, EPSB’s website and social media platform for updates.
