Ville Platte Police Arrest Drug Suspect

     On September 10, 2013 the Ville Platte Police Department executed a search warrant on East Washington Street.  Arrested was Derrick Andrew John, 20 of 120 East Washington Street. John was booked into the Ville Platte City Jail and charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, 3 counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance.  John’s bond was set at $50,000.00 and he was transferred to the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office.
