Ville Platte Fire Department Investigating Early Morning Fire

 

    The Ville Platte Fire Department is investigating a fire that heavily damaged an unused building at 1004 North Reed Street. Police Chief Ted Demourelle said the fire call came in at 2:12 this morning for the fire at the cinder block and metal  building located near Parkview Shopping Center and Village De Memoire. Two fire engines and a ladder truck along with 15 firefighters responded to the early morning fire. The building had no electricity. One side of the building was fully involved by the time firefighters arrived at the scene.
