Drug arrests made by Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Department June 29, 2021 Evangeline Parish Sheriff Charles Guillory reported the following drug arrests to KVPI News: On Sunday June 27, a traffic stop led to the arrest of a Lafayette man: Paul Dallas Brown age 50 of Lafayette. He was arrested and charged with possession of heroin and possession of fentanyl. Also on Sunday, deputies stopped a vehicle for reckless driving. Following a search with their drug dog, Diego, the driver was arrested. He was identified as Thuy Xuan Pham age 54 of Gretna , charged with possession of ecstasy and resisting an officer. On Monday, June 28, the sheriff's office criminal patrol unit conducted surveillance in an area that has been having narcotics trafficking. While doing surveillance, officers saw what they believed to be the sales of narcotics. This led to the arrest of Kenneth Perkins age 39 of Ville Platte. He was charged with possession of heroin, possession of synthetic marijuana, possession of ecstasy, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and possession with intent to distribute fentanyl. Sheriff Guillory would like to remind citizens of Evangeline Parish to contact his investigations department to report any criminal activity at 363-2161. All information will remain anonymous.
