Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office Drug Arrests

Sheriff Office Arrests June 8, 2021 Evangeline Parish Sheriff Charles Guillory reported the following arrests to KVPI News: Last Tuesday, the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Department Criminal Patrol Unit conducted a traffic stop on Tate Cove Road. The deputies made contact with the driver and advised him of the reason for the stop. The driver was extremely nervous and after a short interview, he admitted to having marijuana in the car. The driver was identified as Jesse Townley age 38 of Oakdale. He was cited for possession of marijuana and released. Also, last Tuesday, criminal patrol deputies stopped a truck on LA 13 for traffic violations. When they made contact with the driver, they could smell marijuana. Deputies conducted a search of the truck. The driver, Reginald Lafleur age 53 was cited and released for traffic violations and for possession of marijuana. On that same date, criminal patrol agents stopped a car on LA 13 for a traffic violation. The driver of the vehicle threw a bag on the ground while exiting his car. Deputies retrieved the bag containing narcotics. The driver was identified as Dequincy Philip Malcolm Record age 35 of Mamou cited for traffic violations and possession of marijuana. On Friday June 4, deputies with the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Department in conjunction with the Mamou Police Department executed a search warrant on a residence at 1509 Jamie Street in Mamou. Upon entering the home, agents found various amounts of narcotics and U.S. currency. This led to the following arrest: Jamie Adam Lebleu age 40 of Mamou charged with possession of schedule 4, schedule 2 and schedule 1 drugs, possession of controlled dangerous substances in the presence of a minor, possession of a firearm in the presence of controlled dangerous substances and possession of drug paraphernalia. On Sunday June 6, the criminal patrol division stopped a car on a traffic violation. After receiving permission to search the vehicle, the following people were arrested: Tyler Cameron Sprout age 21 of Ocean Springs, Mississippi charged with: possession of Schedule one drugs Molly, LSD and MDMA and Psilocybin (mushrooms), possession of schedule two drugs Cocaine, possession of schedule one drugs marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia and Sadie Isabella Prince age 18 of Biloxi, Mississippi charged with possession of THC cartridges, possession of schedule one marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Also on Sunday, criminal patrol agents stopped a car for traffic violations. They made contact with the occupants and advised them of the reason for the stop. Agents obtained permission to search and located narcotics. Arrested was Courtney Amber Horner age 40 of Greenwell Springs charged with: Possession with Intent to Distribute Tramadol, Possession of Pregabalin, Possession with the Intent to distribute Hydrocodone, Possession of LSD, Possession with intent to distribute THC Oil, Possession of Lorazepam and possession of drug paraphernalia. As always, Sheriff Guillory and the sheriff office is always seeking information on criminal activity and urges the public to contact their investigations department at 363-2161.
