Ville Platte Chamber Announces Nominees

       The Ville Platte Chamber of Commerce has released the nominees for Ville Platte Business and Business Person of the Year.

       The nominees for Ville Platte Business of the Year are: Pine Prairie Energy, Vidrine’s Ace Hardware, Rendezvous Dinner Club, Mercy Regional Medical Center, Kolder, Champagne, Slaven and Company, New Creations, Paul’s Meat Market and Grocery and Citizens Bank.

       The nominees for Ville Platte Business Person of the Year are: Janice Helmer with Evangeline Floors, Mark Suellentrop with Cabot Corporation, John DeVille with Rendezvous Dinner Club, Cody Vidrine with Vidrine’s Ace Hardware, Mary Foster-Galasso with the Evangeline Parish Library, Randy Chapman with the Evangeline Bank and Trust Company, Gary Soileau with Medicine Chest, Dwayne Kelly with Jardin des Fleurs and Garden Center and Pierre Vidrine with Ville Platte Rental Sales and Service.

      Congratulations to all the nominees. The winners will be announced Wednesday May 1 at the Ville Platte Chamber of Commerce Annual Awards Banquet at the Civic Center. Also, Ville Platte’s Man and Woman of the Year will be announced.

The Louisana Swamp Pop Museum is operated by the City of Ville  Platte is open to the public every Friday and

Saturday from 10:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Come view the amazing artifacts, photos,records, Wall of Fame and hear the music.
 

Admission charge is $3 adults,

$2 seniors and $1 for children under 12.
The museum is located on

Northwest Railroad Avenue.
