Ville Platte Rotary Club hears from Jill and Robert Stevens March 30, 2021 Jill and Robert Stevens of Central Hemp were the special guest speakers at today's (Tuesday's) meeting of the Ville Platte Rotary Club meeting. The couple told club members that they began using hemp and CBD products for aches and pains. Jill said she found that the hemp oils and products helped her with neck and shoulder pain. Their new hemp shop opened on Vidrine road, LA 10, west of Ville Platte. Robert said he wanted to make sure that people were aware that the shop does not sell marijuana. Hemp products does not have the THC level that causes the "high" feeling of euphoria that one can get from marijuana. The CBD products offers a lot of medical benefits. Robert said the benefits include a sleep aid, stress reliver and pain reliever. The products include oils, salves, creams, bath balms and hand creams. They wanted to emphasize that the products are non addictive. The two guest speakers were guests of Rotarian Peter Strawitz.
