Belaire Cove Crawfish Cookoff Big Success

    The Belaire Cove Crawfish Etoufee Cookoff was a big success Sunday for the benefit of the Belaire Cove Catholic Church.

    Here are the winners in the various categories: Most Original Booth-Rocky Rider Collision Center; Best Decorated Booth- Evangeline Feed Store; Washer Board Contest- First Place- Pat Nero and Charlie Crosby; Second Place- Michael  Brown and Bob Reed and Third Place Team- Zach Johnson and Bailey Fontenot.

     Here are the winners in the Cook Off: First Place- Cabot Corporation; Second Place- Rocky Rider Collision Center and Third Place- Charles  and Donald Fontenot.

     Here are the winners in the raffle drawing- First place- Junior Perrodin, thw winner of a gas grill donated by Ray Matte at True Value; 2nd Place- Bill Manuel- winner of $100 donated by Rocky Rider Collision Center and Third Place- Paul Michot, the winner of $75 donated by Attorney Gary Ortego.

     Among the queens who were present at the event were Miss Ville Platte, Lainey Aymond and Junior Tournoi Queen- Darrelon Lachney.

    Oldies 92-5’s J.C. and Randy did a live remote broadcast Sunday morning at the cookoff.

Swamp Pop music

The Louisana Swamp Pop Museum is operated by the City of Ville  Platte is open to the public every Friday and

Saturday from 10:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Come view the amazing artifacts, photos,records, Wall of Fame and hear the music.
 

Admission charge is $3 adults,

$2 seniors and $1 for children under 12.
The museum is located on

Northwest Railroad Avenue.
