Mamou Woman arrested on drug Charges February 2, 2021 On Monday February 1, the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Department K-9 Unit made a traffic stop on the Oberlin road for a traffic violation. The driver appeared extremely nervous during the conversation with the deputy. He brought out the drug dog, K-9 Diego. This led to the arrest of the driver: Mica K. Duplechain age 42 of Mamou. She was charged with Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Driving Under Suspension and Driving Left of Center.
