Evangeline Parish Sheriff Office arrest two suspects on drug charges

Drug Arrest December 22, 2020 Evangeline Parish Sheriff Charles R. Guillory reported to KVPI News that a traffic stop led to the arrest of suspects on drug charges. Last Friday, December 18, the Sheriff's Department Criminal Patrol Unit stopped a vehicle on King Vehicle road at Booker T Road on a traffic violation. When deputies walked up to the vehicle, they saw narcotics in plain view. The two vehicle occupants were arrested and charged: Darius Armando Arvie age 26 of Te Mamou Road, Vile Platte and Myles Anthony Handy age 26 of Houston, Texas were each charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana. As always, Sheriff Guillory and t he Sheriff's Department is always seeking information on criminal activity and urges the public to contact their investigations department at 363-2161.
