Here is a special news release from Evangeline Parish District Attorney Trent Brignac: "Pursuant to the recent Governor's proclamation as well as Louisiana Supreme Court's orders, the Evangeline Parish District Attorney's office in conjunction with the District Judges have cancelled grand jury proceedings set for Wednesday July 22, 2020 and Thursday July 23, 2020. The rescheduling of the grand jury will be announced at a future date. If any one with the grand jury has any questions, please fee free to contact the District Attorney's office at 337-363-3438."
