Corona Virus Update Wednesday

Corona Virus Cases Update April 8, 2020 KVPI News has learned that Evangeline Parish has 25 confirmed cases of the Corona Virus according to information from Ville Platte Mayor Jennifer Vidrine and state officials. That is 2 more than yesterday. No reported deaths. Here are the stats for our neighboring parishes: St. Landry Parish has 86 cases, an increase of 26 since yesterday with 4 deaths. In Avoyelles Parish there are now 48 cases, three more since yesterday with 1 death. In nearby Allen Parish, there are now 65 cases, seven more than yesterday with five deaths. Statewide, there are now 17,030 confirmed cases and 652 reported deaths.
