Ville Platte Police Investigating Stabbing Death

Ville Platte Police Chief Neal Lartigue reports one dead from stabbing incident. On June 15, 2019 at approximately 4:45 a.m., Officers with the Ville Platte Police Department responded to a report of a stabbing that took place on Rev. E.D. Alfred Street. Upon arrival Officers found a black male, later identified as Jacorey Gallow, lying on the floor of the residence with a stab wound to his chest. According to the report Jasmine Gallow had stabbed Jacorey Gallow once in the chest area. Acadian Ambulance arrived on scene and transported the Mr. Gallow to Mercy Regional Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead. Chief Lartigue stated that the incident remains under investigation. If you have any information about this incident you are asked to contact the Ville Platte Police Department at 363-1313.
