Ville Platte Rotary Club Discusses Choices Program

    The Ville Platte Rotary Club met today (Tuesday) at noon at the Family Life Center for their regular meeting of the month. Club President Wayne Vidrine conducted the meeting.

   Rotarian Maggie Ortego informed the club members that their “Choices” program will be presented to 8th grade students at Ville Platte High School next Tuesday. Four teams of instructors will be visiting with students urging them to stay in school.

   Dr. Joey Soileau reported that the Rotary Club will have a cooking booth at Le Grand Hoorah festival at Chicot State Park Saturday. Members of the group are planning to sell BBQ pork sandwiches at the festival Saturday from 9-1.

   Club President Wayne Vidrine said log time Rotarian Leonard Glenn Fontenot and his wife Mary are being honored as Philanthropist of the Year by the Community Foundation of Acadiana for their civic work in the community.

Saturday from 10:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Come view the amazing artifacts, photos,records, Wall of Fame and hear the music.
 

Admission charge is $3 adults,

$2 seniors and $1 for children under 12.

Northwest Railroad Avenue.
