Ville Platte Police Searching for Suspect

 

Ville Platte Police Chief Neal Lartigue reports police are searching  for a suspect in stabbing incident.

On September 29, 2017 at approximately 8:45 p.m. Officers with the Ville Platte Police Department responded to Mercy Regional Hospital in reference to a stabbing.  Upon arrival Officers made contact with the victim who stated that as he was attempting to break up a fight between two male subjects, one of the male subjects swung and hit him in the neck area.  The victim stated that he then realized the suspect had a knife and he had been stabbed in the neck.  Officers notified Detectives and turned the incident over to them for investigation. 

 

Officers obtained the suspects information and an arrest warrant was issued for Sandress Calvin, 32 of 1214 Martin Luther King Drive, Ville Platte charge of aggravated battery. 

Chief Lartigue is asking anyone who knows the whereabouts of Sandress Calvin to contact the Ville Platte Police Department by calling 363-1313.  Your call will remain anonymous
