VILLE PLATTE POLICE ARE ASKING FOR ASSISTANCE FROM THE PUBLIC REGARDING A RECOVERED STOLEN VEHICLE

On June 23, 2017 at approximately 10:30 p.m. Officers with the Ville Platte Police Department responded to a report of a stolen vehicle on Jean Vidrine Road.  The silver Ford Expedition was located the next morning outside of the city limits and the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Officer notified the Ville Platte Police Department Detective assigned to the case.  The vehicle had been abandoned in a field off of St. john Road.  This matter is still under investigation.

Chief Lartigue asks residents to call if they have any information regarding the persons involved with the stolen Expedition.  To report this any information or any type of illegal activity, you can call the Ville Platte Police Department at 363-1313.  Your call will remain anonymous.
