    Complete election returns from Saturday’s runoff elections show Evangeline Parish voters voted in favor of Candyce Perret for judge in the Third Circuit Court of Appeals. Complete but unofficial returns shows in Evangeline Parish shows Perret received 1796 votes or 76 percent of the vote while her opponent Susan Theall got 549 votes or 23 percent of the vote. Perret was elected the circuit court seat by winning 55 percent of the vote.

   Voters in Evangeline Parish overwhelmingly approved the renewal of three tax millages called by the Evangeline Parish School Board.

    Voters approved the renewal of a 10.35 mill tax for another years to help supplement the pay of school employees, both teachers and support workers, The vote was 2119 yes and 358 voting no.

   Also, a millage tax renewal was approved by the voters to renew for another ten years a 12.32 mill tax in consolidated District 2 to maintain school buildings. The vote was 1898 yes and 363 voting no.

   In the Basile School District, voters there renewed a 6.19 mill tax for another ten years for the upkeep and maintenance of school buildings. The vote 143 yes and 23 voting no.
