EVANGELINE PARISH SHERIFF DEPUTIES MAKE ARRESTS IN SHUFF ROAD SHOOTING

Sheriff Eddie Soileau of the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office has released the following:

Late Saturday night, March 4, 2017 deputies were dispatched to the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office regarding a gunshot victim.  Deputies arrived and found an adult male shooting victim who stated he had been shot by a male subject he identified as “Donnie”.

 

During the initial investigation, investigators were able to identify the subjects involved as Donald Paul Lafleur, Jr. aka “Choe” and Anginatta Foreman, both of Ville Platte.

 

Both subjects have been charged and arrested.  Lafleur surrendered to authorities peacefully without incident Tuesday evening, March 7, 2017.  Foreman was apprehended peacefully and without incident from her residence Tuesday afternoon.

 

A motive for the shooting has not yet been determined.

 

The shooting victim suffered a wound to his lower right side abdomen area.
