Rotary Club Hears from New Members

 

    The Ville Platte Rotary Club today (Tuesday) heard introductory messages from its newest members.

     Jackie Fuselier Riche’, a native of Ville Platte, now resides with her husband and children in Bunkie. She is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Barney Fuselier. She is currently marketing director for Savoy Medical Center since August 2015. The hospital is owned by the Town of Mamou and is managed by Christus St. Francis Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria. She announced that Savoy Medical Center will be opening a new medical clinic in Ville Platte with Dr. Spencer Launey in April next to Thrifty Way Pharmacy.

    Renee Tate is a native of Ville Platte and is currently the marketing person for the Bailey Place assisted living facility in Bunkie. She is the daughter of Mr and Mrs. Bernard “Big” Fontenot of Ville Platte

    Richard LeJeune, a native of Bunkie is the new funeral director of Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Ville Platte replacing Lowell Sibille. He had been employed previously at a funeral home in Morgan City.

Swamp Pop music

The Louisana Swamp Pop Museum is operated by the City of Ville  Platte is open to the public every Friday and

Saturday from 10:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Come view the amazing artifacts, photos,records, Wall of Fame and hear the music.
 

Admission charge is $3 adults,

$2 seniors and $1 for children under 12.
The museum is located on

Northwest Railroad Avenue.
