According to the Ville Platte Police Department, the following individuals have been recently arrested and booked into the Ville Platte City Jail:

Ernesto Perez, age 55 of Port Barre – arrested for Driving Under Suspension and out on a $500.00 bond;

Jamie Franques, age 31 of David Street – arrested for Theft by Shoplifting and currently incarcerated with a $500.00 bond;

Shannon Beverly, age 24 of 9^th Street, Mamou – arrested for Criminal Mischief and currently incarcerated with a $200.00 bond;

Kevin Rider, age 35 of Prairie Dale – arrested for Driving Under Suspension and out on a $500.00 bond; and

Latasha Pleasant of Dr. Carver – arrested for Criminal Mischief and currently incarcerated with a $200.00 bond.

The Louisana Swamp Pop Museum is operated by the City of Ville Platte is open to the public every Friday and

Saturday from 10:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Come view the amazing artifacts, photos,records, Wall of Fame and hear the music.

Admission charge is $3 adults,

$2 seniors and $1 for children under 12.
The museum is located on

Northwest Railroad Avenue.
