ResCare Home Care Addresses Ville Platte Rotary Club

 

      Representatives from ResCare Home Care were the special guests at today’s (Tuesday’s) meeting of the Ville Platte Rotary Club. Monique Hicks, Executive Director of ResCare of Opelousas was the guest speaker.  The firm provides personalized home care services for seniors, disabled and for veterans from a few hours a day to around the clock care. 

     ResCare operates in St. Landry, Evangeline, Allen and several mores parishes in the area. They accept Medicaid, veterans and private pay. The firm has over 200 employees and currently serve clients in Evangeline Parish.

  Their services can be provided in the home, the hospital, long term assisted living facility or other facility.

   She was the guest of Rotarian Mable Forman.

    In other rotary news,:

--the Sacred Heart school Interact Club will attend the District 6200 Interact Conference in March;

--received news from Ville Platte Mayor Jennifer Vidrine, that Ville Platte is winning over the city of Opelousas in the city fitness challenge. Over 200 people have signed up with Ville Platte . The City of Ville Platte is ahead of Opelousas more than 10,000 steps.

--received news from Ville Platte Mayor Jennifer Vidrine that Wednesday, city property taxes become delinquent. Today (Tuesday) is the final day to pay your city property taxes without owing a delinquent fee;

--club members welcomed two new members: School Superintendent Darwin Lazard and James “Spanky” Vidrine with Union Tank.

Swamp Pop music

The Louisana Swamp Pop Museum is operated by the City of Ville  Platte is open to the public every Friday and

Saturday from 10:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Come view the amazing artifacts, photos,records, Wall of Fame and hear the music.
 

Admission charge is $3 adults,

$2 seniors and $1 for children under 12.
The museum is located on

Northwest Railroad Avenue.
