CLECO SYSTEM DAMAGED BY SEVERE WEATHER BUT WORKERS KEEP MOVING TO RESTORE POWER TO THOUSANDS

Ville Platte Mayor, Jennifer Vidrine, has told KVPI News there are still a lot of customers without electricity in Ville Platte and surrounding areas.  CLECO, itself, suffered damages to its own system due to the extreme weather today.  Vidrine is asking for the public’s patience and she says CLECO has workers on the ground and working to restore all electrical services.  If you are without electricity, please prepare yourself to move into the evening hours.  Make sure you have batteries for flashlights and/or candles for lighting.  We remind you to never leave candles unattended.
