Tournoi Scheduled for Sunday Afternoon

     The historic running of the Tournoi is planned for Sunday afternoon at 2;00pm to cap off the Louisiana Cotton Festival events.

      Here are the list of riders that will be competing: 2015 Tournoi Champ: Eric Guillory, Alex Haller, Ryan Haller, Chuck Manuel, Paul Fontenot, Marcus Guillory, Keith Saucier, Cody Manuel, Shane Trahan, John Ross Guillory, lisa Crane, Shane Lee, Austin Trahan, Bryce Johnson, Logan Floyd, Cheyenne Crane and Kristen Avery. This is the first time three females will be riding in the Tournoi.

    Returning as the Tournoi Queen for a second year is Bethany Thibodeaux. She is repeating because there was no pageant due to the flooding in August.

    The admission charge is $5 at the gate at the Industrial Park. There will be a concession stand and the sheriff’s posse will be cooking some BBQ sandwiches. The emcee will be KVPI’s Charlie Manuel.

    KVPI will be broadcasting live at the Tournoi with Stephanie and Carly on KVPI FM 92.5.

Swamp Pop music

The Louisana Swamp Pop Museum is operated by the City of Ville  Platte is open to the public every Friday and

Saturday from 10:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Come view the amazing artifacts, photos,records, Wall of Fame and hear the music.
 

Admission charge is $3 adults,

$2 seniors and $1 for children under 12.
The museum is located on

Northwest Railroad Avenue.
