5:00 pm - Contradanse - Doors open for live music & dancing then the Contradanse dancers will dance with the crowning of Le Roi et La Reine of the local nursing home at 6:00 pm (Admission: $5.00 for Adults and $2.00 for Children 5 years and under) live on KVPI FM 92.5

Wednesday, October 12, 2016
3:30 pm - 4-H Cotton Food Fest, North Side Civic Center ( judging begins at 4:00 pm)
4:00 pm - 4-H Cotton Pickin' Pet Show, North Side Civic Center Pavilion live on KVPI FM 92.5
5:00 pm - Family Night at the Carnival (Admission to fairgrounds is FREE)
5:00 pm to 10:00 pm - Bracelet hours at the Carnival

5:30 pm - Cotton Coronation - Crowning of King & Queen Cotton (Admission to Coronation - $5.00 for Adults & Children)

8:30 am - Cotton Harvest Mass - at Our Lady Queen of All Saint church , 1220 West Dardeau Street
12:00 pm - "Grand Parade of Cotton" - main street running west to east
1:00 pm - Family Day at the Carnival (Admission to fairgrounds is FREE)
1:00 pm to 5:00 pm - Bracelet hours at Carnival
3:00 pm - Running of the Tournoi - Industrial Park live on KVPI FM 92.5
6:00 pm - Cotton Festival 2016 Closes!!

All Cotton Festival events are held at the North Side Civic Center - 704 N. Soileau Street

Swamp Pop music

The Louisana Swamp Pop Museum is operated by the City of Ville  Platte is open to the public every Friday and

Saturday from 10:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Come view the amazing artifacts, photos,records, Wall of Fame and hear the music.
 

Admission charge is $3 adults,

$2 seniors and $1 for children under 12.
The museum is located on

Northwest Railroad Avenue.
