Evangeline Parish 4-H Award Winners Announced

EVANGELINE PARISH 4-H AWARDS

     The Evangeline Parish 4-H Program held its annual awards night last week. Among the many award winners:

Camille Bergeron, daughter of Robert and Vickie Bergeron of Sacred Heart received the prestigious  “Evangeline Parish Outstanding 4-H Member Award”’

Baylee Guillory- of Sacred Heart High receiving a $100 scholarship from the La. 4-H Foundation for Senior 4-H Achievement;  She also won a $1000 Scott Truck and Truck Company scholarship.

Paul and Tammy Fontenot of Paul’s Meat Market and Grocery received the “Outstanding Business Supporter” award;

Misti Fontenot received the Outstanding 4-H Volunteer Leader award and won a trip to the Southern Region Leader Forum in Eatonton, Georgia;

    There were a number of other awards , pins, and recognition to 4-H students throughout the parish.

   Making the presentations were 4-H Agent Kimberly Deville along with County Agent Todd Fontenot. Congratulations to all award winners.

Swamp Pop music

The Louisana Swamp Pop Museum is operated by the City of Ville  Platte is open to the public every Friday and

Saturday from 10:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Come view the amazing artifacts, photos,records, Wall of Fame and hear the music.
 

Admission charge is $3 adults,

$2 seniors and $1 for children under 12.
The museum is located on

Northwest Railroad Avenue.
