French Immersion Students Visit KVPI Studios

The children’s choir of the French Immersion Program at Prairie Elementary School in Lafayette visited KVPI studios today (Saturday) to record part of a performance they gave earlier at stops in Eunice that included the Chapelle Country Store and the Jean Lafitte Acadian Cultural. The members are 2nd, 3rd and 4th graders of Prairie Elementary Lafayette French Immersion Program. The teachers are  Sabrina Benazzous, Jean-Philippe Warlet and Sophie Zaoui and come from Belgium and France. We plan to play back their recorded performance Thursday at 12:30pm on KVPI AM and FM. The students recorded the Pledge of Allegiance in French and an ID in French that listeners will hear on a regular basis.
