Ville Platte Landmark Home Destroyed in Fire Thursday Night

Fire investigators with the Ville Platte Fire Department with help from the state fire marshal’s Office are investigating the cause of the fire that damaged the Dr. R.E. Dupre home on West Main Street Thursday night. The landmark home constructed in the late 1920’s or early 1930’s by Dr. Dupre had been vacant for the past few years. For many years, the home was considered a showcase and a landmark. As soon as we get more details on the fire we will share it with you. Photo compliments of KVPI News Director Stephanie Ware.
