Special Election for Mamou Chief of Police

A special election will be held this Saturday, April 9th, to determine who will take over as Chief of Police in Mamou.  Candidates in the run-off are Brent Zackery and Katina Richard.  Polls at Old Mamou City Hall, Maison D’egret House, Vidrine Fire Station and Celestine Neighborhood Center will open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 8:00 p.m. Former Mamou Chief of Police, Robert McGee, resigned from the position last year due to legal battles involving the use of Tasers on inmates.  KVPI News will keep you updated on the results of this special election.
