2015 Cotton Festival Schedule

COTTON FESTIVAL SCHEDULE

    The 62nd Annual Louisiana Cotton Festival kicks off tonight and runs all the way through Sunday at the civic center grounds in Ville Platte.

     Tonight (Monday)  at 6:30 it is the Contredanse (French Square Dance) and the Crowning of the King and Queen of Heritage Manor Nursing Home. Admission $5 adults and $2 for children. KVPI FM will be there for the broadcast of the event.

    Tuesday at 3:30pm, it is the 4-H Cotton Food Fest inside the civic center with judging beginning at 4;00pm and at  4:00pm, it is the 4-H Cotton Picking Pet Show in the Civic Center Pavilion. KVPI FM with Becky and Emily will be there broadcasting live for the Pet show at 4:00pm.

    Wednesday and Thursday- Carnival Bracelet Hours from 5-10pm.

     Friday- Only day where there is an admission charge for the fairgrounds $6 adults and children 13 and up and $2 for kids 12 and under. 1-5pm- Carnival bracelet hours; Street Dance- 6:0pm- Ashton Dupre; 8:00pm- Chubby Carrier and 90 Degrees West- 90 Degrees West.

   Saturday- Bracelet Hours at carnival from 1-5pm; 5:30pm- Coronation of the new Cotton Festival Queen to replace Queen Cotton Karlee Farris and the crowning of the Cotton Festival King- Troy Hebert, Commissioner of Alcohol and Tobacco Control. Col. Cotton-Brenda Saucier; Angie Rozas- Grand Parade Marshal. Admission $5 per person at the civic center.

   Sunday- 8:30am- Cotton Harvest Mass at Our Lady Queen of All Saints; 12 Noon- Grand Parade of Cotton starting at Citizens Bank to Sacred Heart on Main Street; 1-5pm- Bracelet Day at Carnival; 2;00pm- Running of the Tournoi at Industrial Park. Admission $5. Classic Hits 92.5 KVPI with Stephanie and Carly will be broadcasting the Tournoi live.

The Louisana Swamp Pop Museum is operated by the City of Ville  Platte is open to the public every Friday and

Saturday from 10:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Come view the amazing artifacts, photos,records, Wall of Fame and hear the music.
 

Admission charge is $3 adults,

$2 seniors and $1 for children under 12.
The museum is located on

Northwest Railroad Avenue.
